When asked if she’ll be “able to walk” in her outfit, the “Waiting For Tonight” singer responded, “Barely, ever. The Met Gala looks are not about comfort.”’s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. “I was really honored to be asked to host it alongside Zendaya and Bad Bunny and Chris Hemsworth,” Lopez said. “Anna was gracious enough to ask me. We’re going to have a good time.”
This year’s theme, Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion, is set to feature 250 items from the Costume Institute’s permanent collection, according to an Instagram post announcing the theme back in November. “From a 17th century English Elizabethan-era bodice and Christian Dior’s famous Junon and Venus ballgowns, to 21st century acquisitions by designers including Phillip Lim, Stella McCartney, and Conner Ives, the core exhibit will span 400 years of history,” the caption reads.
