A giant pork pie sold at Jeremy Clarkson's Cotswold pub has been causing a stir online - and its £199.99 price tag isn't the only reason
Jeremy Clarkson has revealed what's inside the now infamous '£200 pork pie' on sale at his Cotswolds pub that has gone viral on social media this week.
But, now Jeremy has taken to social media to set the record straight, reports the Mirror. On Friday, January 24 Jeremy took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to say: "There are reports in some of the sillier newspapers that the enormous pork pie is for sale at the Farmer’s Dog for £200. Instagram "Because the real giant pies we make fresh to order for our customers with the best British farmed ingredients and to whatever size you want - great value for as many people as you want to cater for..and so delicious that our Steak and Hawkstone Pie is now entered in the most prestigious pie competition in the country - watch this space for results!"
While £199.99 for a pie might sound a lot at first people were quick to point out the item was actually very good value for money, one said: "I'll pay £400" while another said: "Price per kilo is a bargain."
