Jeremy Clarkson announces a two-month closure of his Diddly Squat Farm Shop, citing unspecified reasons.
Jeremy Clarkson , famous for his roles in Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and Top Gear, has announced a two-month closure of his Diddly Squat Farm Shop . The shop will be closed throughout January and February, with December 29th being its last day of trading. A notice on the shop's website informs visitors that the pop-up farm shop at The Farmer's Dog Pub will be open Wednesday to Sundays, from 10 am to 4:30 pm. Clarkson hasn't disclosed the reasons for the extended break.
This closure follows recent damage to the Grand Tour tent at his pub caused by Storm Darragh. Additionally, just days before the closure news, Clarkson spoke to The Times about the various challenges he's faced since taking over The Farmer's Dog in August, including difficulties making a profit and dealing with unsanitary conditions in the pub toilets. He described the situation as being worse than any festival experience. Clarkson has also shared his struggles managing his gastropub, which have included a major plumbing issue requiring a hazmat team and customers stealing glassware, adding to unexpected costs.
