Jeremy Clarkson has suffered a 'total disaster' at his pub, The Farmer's Dog, in the run-up to Christmas as the presenter admitted he had been 'naive' about the huge project
TV personality Jeremy Clarkson has faced a "total disaster" at his pub, The Farmer's Dog, as the festive season approaches. The Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? host, who launched the pub in August, has been met with criticism from customers during the Christmas rush as he revealed his holiday menu and imposed a one-hour dining limit.
Recounting a particularly gruesome episode in the pub's lavatories, he explained how the mess was so extensive that "no ordinary plumbing or cleaning equipment would even scratch the surface," leading to the hiring of a specialist hazmat team—a cost he never anticipated in his business plans, reports the Express.
However, amid all these gripes came a shard of sunlight, as cuisine expert Marco Pierre White gave a nod of approval to the grub served up at Jeremy’s venture as he added: “And it’s warm and there’s a fire and the staff are friendly and young and happy. It’s a proper, traditional pub. By which I mean you’ll love it, and I’ll lose a fortune and develop a skin disease from the stress of running it.
