If Boris Johnson resigns, he will be the shortest ever serving Prime Minister of Britain
Jeremy Corbyn has launched a blistering attack onJust moments after the Supreme Court made the historic decision, the Labour leader called on the Prime Minister to ‘consider his position’.
They unanimously agreed the advice was justiciable. They also unanimously agreed that the prorogue was unlawful. He added: ‘So, obey the law, take no-deal off the table and have an election to elect a government that respects democracy, that respects the rule of law and brings power back to the people, not usurps it in the way that Boris Johnson has done.’He said: ‘I welcome the Supreme Court’s judgement that the prorogation of Parliament was unlawful.
He was asked whether he would resign if the Government lost and said: ‘I will wait and see what the justices decide, the Supreme Court decides, because as I’ve said before I believe that the reasons for wanting a Queen’s speech were very good indeed.’
