The Labour leader challenges the PM over police numbers and public service cuts following high-profile stabbings.
The prime minister revealed she will be holding a Number 10 summit in the"coming days" to allow ministers, community leaders and government agencies to discuss knife crime.
Mr Corbyn noted there were 285 people stabbed to death last year - the"highest level ever" - and said many MPs will"never forget" the experience of meeting the families of knife crime victims in their constituencies. Mrs May replied:"We are putting more resources into the police this year… it's a fact more money is being put into the police this year, that more money is being put into the police next year.
At the end of their exchanges in the Commons, Mr Corbyn claimed a doubling of violent crime levels had been"driven by austerity, something the prime minister told us a few months ago was over".
