The Tory Chancellor threatened to snatch hundreds of pounds from people’s pockets with a raid on the state pension.
The comments were slammed by Age Scotland, which warned Hunt to keep his "hands off".
Asked whether the Government would need to think again about the triple lock and pension age as the population gets older, Hunt said: “Both of those things are kept under review.” “You can’t overstate how absolutely vital this support is for hundreds of thousands of pensioners in Scotland who rely on the State Pension for all or most of their income and attempt to keep up with the surging inflation and paying for life’s essentials.
