In January 2023, Renner was involved in a snow plow accident that nearly took his life. He spent months in recovery trying to recuperate from his injuries, which included trauma to the chest and orthopedic injuries. Slowly, the actor started doing interviews again, and Renner has now restarted his acting career.
“I just don’t have the energy for it. I don’t have the fuel. I have so much fuel to put into this reality, this body, all this stuff. I can’t just go play make-believe right now. It takes a lot of time to get right here every day, just so I can have a positive thought, so I can progress, so I can always keep growing.”
Mayor of Kingstown is currently in its third season, with the next episode airing on Sunday, June 30.
