Jermaine Jenas has broken his silence after being sacked by the BBC
Jermaine Jenas has commented on his comeback after being axed by the BBC . The 41 year old former footballer was taken off the Match Of The Day and The One Show presenter lists last month after complaints about workplace conduct.
While the BBC has kept the specifics of why Jenas' contract was ended under wraps, the sports pundit took to Instagram to express thanks to his supporters. In a video on his Instagram Story, Jenas opened up: "I just thought it was important for me to jump on here actually and just talk to you lot and say thank you for the level of support that you've shown me.
Jenas described the backing he's gotten as "nice" and credited it with helping him re-establish connections with fans he felt he'd lost touch with. Apart from his roles with the BBC, Jenas has also been involved with TNT Sports' football content and co-hosted a show on talkSPORT. He indicated that he is gearing up to resume his broadcasting career.
The father-of-four became a familiar face on The One Show in 2020, stepping in as a guest presenter after Matt Baker's exit, and was later confirmed as a full-time host in the subsequent year.
