The White Sox never even considered external GM candidates. Now they're on pace for a historically bad season.
“A nightmare.” “Embarrassing.” “Disgusting.” “All the bad words you can think of.” That’s how owner Jerry Reinsdorf described the 2023 season last August, which the 88-year-old owner dubbed the worst he’s been through in 43 years in baseball. You wonder, then, what Reinsdorf thinks about the 2024 team, which is only three weeks in and already has major “hold my beer” vibes. The White Sox have lost 22 of their first 25 games, a franchise-worst start to the season.
