Police said they found eight shell casings at the crime scene.
An Atlantic County man pleaded guilty to charges connected to a 2022 shooting that injured one person in Atlantic City, officials said Friday.
The charges resulted from the investigation of a shooting on Oct. 14, 2022 in the area of Sewell Avenue, authorities said. Police said they identified a crime scene in the area of Pennsylvania and Adriatic Avenues where they found eight spent 9mm shell casings. Investigators used surveillance camera footage from the area to determine a group of men had been in the area at the time of the shooting before entering a home together, according to authorities.
Authorities said they found the gun hidden outside a second-story window next to an exterior wall. Stokes’ DNA was found on two of the handguns found in the search and he was identified by an eyewitness as the shooter, authorities said.
