Jessica Villarubin was with Julie Anne San Jose at the benefit concert held inside a church in Occidental Mindoro earlier this month.Julie Anne's performance of "Dancing Queen" at the event became viral after some netizens took issue with the song choice, which prompted Sparkle, the Kapuso singer, and parish priest to apologize to the public.
"Nagkapatawaran na po ang lahat and maraming natuto po sa nangyari and we really apologize po sa nangyari din po, so sana po pray for healing for everyone," she said."Siguro po next time mas dapat naming malaman kung ano po talaga 'yung gagawin," she added.Jessica said she understands the reaction of the public, as she also served as a psalmist in a church choir for 15 years.
