A yellow warning for wind is in place for large parts of the UK with delays to transport 'likely', according to the Met Office
Jet2 and Ryanair have warned passengers of disruption to flights to and from the UK today as the country is battered by strong winds and heavy rain.
Ryanair has told passengers that there could be “potential disruption” to and from the UK on Sunday December 22. The airline said that affected passengers would be notified and passengers should check the app for the latest updates on their flight. “The Met Office has warned that the stormy conditions are due to continue, at times, in parts of the UK for the coming days. If you are travelling with Jet2.com we plan to operate our flights as close to schedule as possible, however, there may be some disruption should the weather deteriorate.”
Jet2 added: “Jet2.com would like to apologise in advance for any disruption you may experience. Your comfort and safety is our number one priority, we will have you on the way as soon as possible.”
