Jet2 and TUI cancel Spain flights as planes forced to turn around mid-air
by next week as the London Marathon was postponed
"This is a fast-moving and complex situation and we are reviewing our programme as a matter of urgency, so that we can fly customers back to the UK. And the Spanish PM Pedro Sánchez is today expected to address the nation as he faces calls from the Catalan president to shut airports and ports. However, the airline said their passengers will be allowed to change their flight online without paying a change fee.
Similiarly to BA and easyJet, Ryanair has waived its change fee for those who wish to change their travel plans.The tourism company today said that following local measures made to fight coronavirus, they had "made the difficult decision to cancel holidays due to travel between 14 and 16 March". Any customers due to travel between 17 March and 23 March will be contacted about their holiday on Monday 16 March.
