The 29-year-old was one of the Jets’ headlining acquisitions this offseason, coming over from the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for a conditional 2026 third-round pick that could become a second-rounder. Reddick has made his desire for a new contract known, which prompted a trade from Philadelphia. He has been one of the NFL’s biggest bargains at his position as he is owed $14.5 million next season before becoming a free agent. HisHaving already skipped OTAs and forfeited $250,000 last month, Reddick now faces a fine of $50,000 for each day of minicamp that he misses.
His holdout should be met with some form of urgency from Joe Douglas and the rest of Gang Green’s management.
