The Jets' edge rushing group is a huge question mark without Haason Reddick.
New York Jets defensive end Solomon Thomas hugs New York Jets linebacker Jermaine Johnson as he is taken off the field in the second half of an NFL football game against the Tennessee Titans in Nashville, Tenn., on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2024. AP
The Jets were still awaiting confirmation Monday morning that Jermaine Johnson’s injury – feared to be a season-ending torn Achilles – was as bad as it looked in Sunday’s 24-17 win over the Titans. But it’s safe to say that Johnson, the best edge rusher with the team for the first two weeks of the season, won’t be back on the field anytime soon. Which immediately shifts the attention to the the guy who would become the Jets’ best edge rusher if he ever joins the team: Haason Reddick.
