First Lady Jill Biden released her first written statement since her husband, President Joe Biden, announced he was dropping out of the 2024 presidential race.In a post to X, formerly Twitter, on Wednesday night, the First Lady wrote that she was 'full of gratitude' for those who have stood by her and her husband during his first three and a half years in office.
'To those who never wavered, to those who refused to doubt, to those who always believed, my heart is full of gratitude,' read the statement. 'Thank you for the trust you put in Joe—now it's time to put that trust in Kamala.'The post on X also included a handwritten version of the statement. It was posted in the minutes following Biden's first address to the nation since he stepped down from the 2024 race.
