Rowling, 59, claimed the embattled Good Omens author's fans had remained 'strangely muted' after claims of sexual misconduct were made, all of which he has denied.
JK Rowling has condemned the 'literary crowd' for their 'strangely muted' reaction to allegations against Neil Gaiman despite them having a 'hell of a lot to say' about Harvey Weinstein .
The fantasy drama, which was also aired on BBC Two in 2020, stars David Tennant and Michael Sheen and is based on the book which was co-written by Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. They have not yet commented on any of the allegations. Former movie mogul Weinstein was convicted in New York and Los Angeles for a string of sex offences and had been serving a 23 year sentence, before charges were overturned after an appeals court ruled the judge made a 'crucial' error in the initial trial. Allegations being made against him were credited with starting the #MeToo movement.
