JK Rowling defends woman who was fired over transgender tweets
to defend Maya Forstater, 45, who lost her Employment Tribunal after her opinions on transgender people were ruled “absolutist”. The Harry Potter author supported the researcher, who worked for poverty think-tank, Centre for Global Development, after she tweeted about the judgement yesterday.Maya said she was in “shock and disbelief” after the ruling, which was handed down at the Central London Employment Tribunal.
