Joanna Lumley calls modern women 'pathetic' and claims 'it's fashionable to be a victim' joannalumley
The iconic actress and comedian, best known for her role as Patsy Stone on Absolutely Fabulous and as a Bond Girl in On Her Majesty's Secret Service in 1967, discussed her opinions on the #MeToo movement and said that "we have gone mad".
Speaking to Prospect Magazine, Joanna said: "If someone whistled at you in the street, it didn't matter, if someone was groping, we slapped their hands. Joanna has enjoyed a varied career, first launching herself into the spotlight as a model in the first three years of her career, before turning to acting when she landed an uncredited role in Some Girls Do.
She starred alongside fellow actress Jennifer Saunders, who played Edina Monsoon, a career-minded woman with chronic alcoholism, who, alongside her best friend, fellow alcoholic and drug-addict Patsy, drive her daughter Saffron crazy with their antics.She told The Sydney Morning Herald: "Even when my name was well known, my bank balance was still in the red.
