In one of the most powerful parts of his speech, Joaquin went on to acknowledge that he is ‘part of the problem’ and admitted: ‘I’m ashamed to say… I have not done everything in my power – not all sets I’ve worked on are inclusive.’ Oscar-winning actress Viola Davis led the applause for Joaquin’s unprecedented speech and tweeted: ‘Thank you Joaquin Phoenix.
