Controversial podcast host Joe Rogan is set to perform in live comedy special 'Burn the Boats' on Netflix, his first in six years.
Netflix announced Tuesday. The comedy special marks Rogan’s first special on the streamer in six years. Rogan’s previous Netflix specials include 2016’s“Don’t get mad at me,” Rogan says in the accompanying trailer announcing his return. “You know why you came here.” reports, making his contentious podcast available on Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, and YouTube. The podcast was previously exclusive to Spotify from 2020 to 2023.
Rogan’s podcast, which has released more than 2,200 episodes, has been criticized for spreading misinformation about COVID-19 and conspiracy theories. In 2022, several musicians includingin protest of Rogan and shared a subsequent compilation of clips featuring Rogan using the N-word. Although Rogan said in an Instagram video that it was the “most regretful and shameful thing that I’ve ever had to talk about publicly,” he said it was “taken out of context.
