Joe Swash reveals heartbreaking moment he called an ambulance for his dad
JOE Swash discussed the heartbreaking moment he called for an ambulance when his dad passed away from a heart attack 27 years ago on last night's Celebrity Gogglebox.
The boy can be heard breaking down as the 999 call handler tried to guide him on how to resuscitate his dad while they waited for the ambulance to arrive.He said: "I was only 11 when my dad passed away from a heart attack.Joe's late dad Ricky passed away from a heart attack aged 39.
Joe's dad, a London cabbie, died when the star was just 11, from an undiagnosed heart condition Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome.Joe was emotional both before and after his dance, which was dedicated to his dad Breaking down on the show, Joe said: "I'm probably so different to the person I would have been if he was... it's hard... it's a hard thing."There are so many things I've done and experienced that I could have shared with him."
Talking in a pre-recorded clip, he said: "I'm going to be dancing to Simply Red's Stars. This song holds a very special part in my heart because it was my mum and dad's song.
