It's set to be a blockbuster occasion in Glasgow's east end with the showdown the first of the season between the fierce rivals
John Beaton has been named referee for the first Old Firm derby of the season after the Scottish Football Association revealed the officials for Sunday's clash at Parkhead.
It was an epic clash in Govan with VAR playing a huge part on that occasion. Celtic were awarded a penalty by Beaton after an on-field review showed Connor Goldson had handled the ball. Rangers were also awarded a spot kick following a VAR intervention with Beaton reversing his decision to book Fabio Silva for diving under the challenge of Alistair Johnston. Andrew Dallas will be behind the VAR monitor on this occasion, assisted by Graeme Stewart.
