“His take on the movie was ‘What if you had someone going through this first day and they had a unique set of circumstances that would set them apart from everyone else?’,” Krasinski said, with stars Joseph Quinn and Djimon Hounsou saying that he takes the film and makes it bigger and scarier. Based on an idea by John Krasinski, A Quiet Place: Day One is directed by Michael Sarnoski, who is best known for his work in the critically-acclaimed 2021 drama Pig. The film stars Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o as Sam, Stranger Things breakout Joseph Quinn as Eric, Hereditary’s Alex Wolff as Reuben, and Gladiator’s Djimon Hounsou as Henry. The latter previously appeared in 2020’s A Quiet Place Part II starring alongside Emily Blunt and Cillian Murphy.
