John Mayer postponed a handful of upcoming shows from his current “Sob Rock” tour after he and some members of his touring entourage contracted COVID-19

.In early January, the “Last Train Home” singer cancelled shows with Dead and Company in Mexico having contracted the virus.Mayer announced the rescheduled shows on his Instagram. Supposed tour stops at Pittsburg in PPG Paints Arena , New York in the UBS Arena in Belmont Park , and two nights at Boston’s TD Garden are the affected dates.

The tour had met some difficulties in the past few days when touring drummer Steve Ferrone and backing vocalist Carlos Ricketts tested positive for the virus prior to their Madison Square Garden shows earlier this week.In the same post Mayer wrote: “Whelp. More members of the band tested positive for Covid today, and I was one of them. I’m so sorry to make you change your plans.
