The First Minister and his cabinet fielded questions from the public in an open discussion at Ayr Town Hall.
First Minister John Swinney suggested South Ayr shire Council should take a similar approach to “openness and transparency” as the Scottish Government at a public discussion at Ayr Town Hall.
“I have spent my life on platforms explaining myself and answering questions. I do it at 12pm every Thursday nowadays.Ahead of the discussion, cabinet secretaries visited local businesses and community projects across Ayr and South Ayrshire to highlight the Scottish Government’s four key priorities. Ayr MSP Siobhan Brown, in her capacity as Community Safety Minister, fielded a question on the sale of fireworks in Scotland while Deputy First Minister Kate Forbes explained the difference between freeports in Scotland and England and Education Secretary Jenny Gilruth outlined the Scottish Government’s plans for additional support needs education.
