An assault lawsuit brought against Johnny Depp has been settled just weeks before the trial was set to startThe actor, 59, wasMr Brooks had alleged thehad screamed obscenities at him, hit him twice in the ribs and then offered him money to punch him back.
The case is now due to be dismissed next year, after an agreement was reached two weeks before the start of the trial, according to documents seen by the PA news agency. The settlement reads:"The settlement agreement conditions dismissal of this matter on the satisfactory completion of specified terms that are not to be performed within 45 days of the date of the settlement.The original lawsuit alleged that Depp had assaulted Mr Brooks outside the Barclay Hotel after the crew member told him that production had wrapped for the night.
