has named a former aide who was heavily implicated in a number of gatherings during the Downing Street partygate scandal in his pared back resignation honours list.
Martin Reynolds, who served as Mr Johnson’s principle private secretary during his time in No 10 and has been handed an OBE, is one of around 50 names awarded with gongs by the former prime minister. Perhaps more controversially, however, a seat in the House of Lords has also been given to Charlotte Owen, a 30 year old former No 10 adviser, who will now hold her position in the Upper Chamber for life. Mr Johnson also gave a peerage to his current spokesman and former journalist Ross Kempsell.
Priti Patel and Andrea Jenkyns, who stuck her middle finger up at crowds outside Downing Street while serving as education minister, have been awarded damehoods along with former Tory chair Amanda Milling.
