On Thursday, Comedy Central announced that Jon Stewart will host a podcast called 'the Weekly Show.'
Jon Stewart performs onstage during the 17th Annual Stand Up For Heroes Benefit presented by Bob Woodruff Foundation and NY Comedy Festival at David Geffen Hall on November 06, 2023 in New York City.The new weekly show will hear Stewart “dive into the most critical topics across current events” and will feature “a variety of guests, including newsmakers, authors, and celebrities.” Paramount Audio will produce the podcast with Busboy Productions.
“After much reflection, meditation, and prayer, I have decided to extend my work week to two days,” Stewart joked in a press release. “All hail Comedy Central!”after stepping away from it in 2015. He had a stint hosting a talk show on Apple TV+, but it was canceled last year.
