NEA Baptist will host a Cancer Survivors Day celebration on June 2, 2024, from 1-2:30 p.m. at Valley View Church of Christ in Jonesboro..

Area hospitals will honor those from across northeast Arkansas this weekend.

“National Cancer Survivors Day is a day we come together and celebrate all those people who have had cancer, they’re survivors, they’ve completed treatment, or they’re still doing treatment. Just celebrating their fight and honoring them,” Trezere Brown, a medical oncology manager at the center, said.

"You’re helping them through this journey, and you know more about them, and they know more about you. And so, it’s just neat to see them, to celebrate them, when they’ve got that part behind them,” Tillman said. Cancer Survivors Day will be this Sunday, June 2, from 1 p.m. until 2:30 at Valley View Church of Christ, located at 4500 Southwest Drive, Jonesboro, AR 72404.
