JPD and the Parks and Rec Department are teaming up for the third straight year to increase patrols of parks as they become more busy.
“Here at the city, I think we’ve seen a concentrated effort to see an increased law enforcement in the areas where people will begin to move into," said Tony Thomas from the City of Jonesboro.
The Parks Department stated in a Facebook post that they have received feedback to continue a program that brings police presence into parks as they become more busy.
