Former BBC Radio 1 DJ Jordan North has boasted about the success of his new breakfast show at Capital FM, boasting higher listener numbers, especially amongst younger audiences. His comments hint at a potential feud with his previous employers.

Have YOU got a story? Email [email protected] Jordan North took a brutal swipe at his former BBC Radio 1 show as he boasted about the listening figures for his Capital Breakfast show.

Joined on the cooking show with his co-hosts Sian Welby, 38, and Chris Stark, 37, Jordan explained listening figures have increased since he took over the show in April. Matt then added: 'So what the listenership is three million,' as Jordan added: 'Yeah it's nearly half a million that we have added on.'Continuing to boast he said: 'We have got more 15 to 20-year-olds listening to Capital Breakfast,' as Matt joked: 'You know your figures and he winked and agreed: 'Oh, I know.'

The Mirror claimed that the news he was leaving the show was a 'shock to him' as information about the departure 'was issued without his knowledge in chaotic scenes'. The radio DJ, 34, quit his Radio 1 show back in February after 10 years at the station after he was offered to replace Roman Kemp's position at Capital

The publication reported that he had unwittingly already presented his last episode of the show by the time his departure was announced.
