That was the scathing verdict from Jamie Carragher on Casemiro last season and those comments re-surfaced on Sunday afternoon when Manchester United were gunned down by their fiercest rivals. Casemiro was off the pace against Liverpool and his alarming display re-flagged up familiar concerns.

Casemiro has operated at the top level throughout a highly-decorated career which saw him win four Champions League medals with Real Madrid - among other pots and pans - before he pitched up at Old Trafford two years ago.
