The Knicks guard made sure the former Pacer and TNT broadcaster knew fans were chanting unsavory language in his direction.
The New York Knicks beat the Indiana Pacers 130–121 in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals on Wednesday night. The Knicks overcame injuries and a 10-point halftime deficit to take a 2–0 lead as the series shifts to Indiana. By the end of the game the vibes inside Madison Square Garden were so immaculate that fans turned their attention from the current Pacers to the retired Pacer calling the game on national television.
Reggie Miller was back in New York to work the game for TNT. After sharing a moment with Spike Lee before the game, Miller sat in with Brian Anderson and Stan Van Gundy to call the action. As it became clear the Knicks would win the game, the MSG faithful started chanting "F--- you, Reggie."A funny moment to be sure, but did Miller hear the chants? Josh Hart went over to make sure Miller heard what they were saying. Unfortunately for TNT, Miller's mic was still on.If there was any question whether Hart was a New York basketball legend before hurling an F-bomb into Miller's mic during a playoff victory at MSG, well, that question has been answered.
In addition to swearing at Miller on national television during the playoffs, Hart had 19 points, 15 rebounds and seven assists. What more could Knicks fans ask of a player?
