Joshua Jackson 's $2 million home in Topanga Canyon was destroyed by the devastating Los Angeles wildfires. The day after photos of the charred remains of his multi-story abode surfaced, the 46-year-old actor assured his fans that he and his family were 'OK' despite being displaced. 'First and most importantly, all the people closest to me affected by the fire are ok,' Jackson said in a statement. 'My daughter, my family, my neighbors all made it out safely,' he shared.
Jackson confirmed that he lost his childhood home, purchased in 2001, to the catastrophic Palisades Fire. He expressed gratitude for his loved ones' safety while acknowledging the loss of his home. 'Sadly my beautiful home did not survive the fires. But today, I feel incredibly lucky to be surrounded by the people I love,' he said. \Photos obtained by DailyMail.com on Saturday captured the charred remnants of Jackson's former home. Portions of his backyard and swimming pool remained intact, while the surrounding hills were barren after the blaze. This was the same house where Jackson had spent his early childhood before moving back to Canada at age eight after his parents divorced. He purchased the property over two decades ago and was living there with his four-year-old daughter Juno Rose Diana, whom he shares with his ex-wife Jodie Turner-Smith. Jackson had previously spoken about purchasing the property where he grew up as a sentimental full-circle moment. \'My father unfortunately was not a good father or a husband and exited the scene,' he told Mr Porter in July 2021. He continued: 'But that house in Topanga was where everything felt simple, so it was a very healing thing for me to do.' He had also revealed that after he and Turner-Smith welcomed Juno, his childhood bedroom became their daughter's room. 'There was a mural of a dragon on the wall in that room that I couldn't believe was still there, years later,' he said. 'The owner said,'I knew it meant a lot to somebody and that they were going to come back for it someday,' he added. \In addition to Jackson, a slew of A-listers living in the Pacific Palisades have also lost their homes in the ongoing wildfires. Fires have broken out in several areas around Los Angeles, including the Pacific Palisades, Eaton Canyon, Malibu, the Hollywood Hills, and others. The fires have destroyed thousands of structures and burned over 22,000 acres. A-list stars like Leighton Meester, Adam Brody, Paris Hilton, Milo Ventimiglia, Mandy Moore, and Anna Faris have also lost their homes in the wildfires
