After months of code names and massive tax break approvals, JTA is announcing the plan for a new facility to produce autonomous electric shuttles as a part of Project LINK. JTA officials say this move will be historic for Jacksonville because they consider the new facility to be a “first of its kind” in the United States.According to JTA, the facility is going to be 450,000 square feet and the first in Florida. It is expected to employ up to 200 people while offering competitive pay and benefits.The company manufacturing the cars is called Holon and is based in Germany.
