David Martindale reckons Brendan Rodgers won’t get his Celtic squad spot-on for three more transfer windows.

But Martindale believes Rodgers will be ranked a hit again once he’s recruited more of his type of player. He said: “Brendan has been brilliant for the game here – and he’s still a top manager.
“Judge Brendan when he’s maybe had three or four windows and it’s his own team. Every manager is different. Ange Postecoglou left a very good team but Brendan is his own manager and can only be judged down the line. He is fighting for the league, is still in the Scottish Cup. And, I don’t care what anyone says, I think it was a fairly successful Champions League group. Is he going through a period of adversity? They lost a game at Tynecastle with 10 men.
“Most teams should be losing that game at Tynecastle with 10 men. They showed huge strength of character to come back at Motherwell late on then the win over Dundee shows you what they are capable of. “Celtic have a top manager and a top team. They are churning out profits and winning trophies and are one of the best run clubs in Scottish football.”
