The teen, named only as Grace, simply failed to complete homework set during online school lessons while in lockdown.
Judge Mary Ellen Brennan, left sent a 15 year-old girl called Grace to juvenile hall after she failed to do her online schoolwork during the coronavirus outbreak
Grace was seen sobbing and shaking her head as she was sentenced, which the judge interpreted as a sign of rudeness. Charisse says it was actually her daughter shaking her head with disappointment at her own behavior. Charisse has been unable to see Grace in person since she was locked up, with Judge Brennan last month ordering the teen to stay behind bars until September, so she can receive support.
