A judge has refused to pass a legal order which would prevent Scots gangster Jamie “the Iceman” Stevenson from becoming involved in organised crime upon his release from jail.
Stevenson - who once featured on the National Crime Agency’s list for the 12 most wanted men in Britain had also planned to flood Scotland with millions of Etizolam tablets. The pills are known as street valium. The court heard that Stevenson could be rehabilitated upon his release and that the order would then be disproportionate.
The judges were told that the orders were unfair and breached the men’s human rights because the pair could be rehabilitated in the 25 years that they’ll spend on jail.
