A judge temporarily blocked the Texas Attorney General's Office from getting documents from PFLAG about its support of families seeking gender-affirming medical care

AUSTIN, Texas — In February, the LGBTQ+ organization PFLAG got civil demands from the Texas AG Ken Paxton's office to turn over documents, communications, and information related to their organization and their work helping families with transgender teens.

The AG's office said this is related to an investigation that certain medical providers could be committing insurance fraud and violating Senate Bill 14 which bans doctors from treating transgender youth with hormone therapies and puberty blockers. While the attorneys with the Texas Attorney General's Office declined to comment on camera, Texas Values Director of Policy Jonathan Covey says they can investigate any violations against the law.
