Judith McNicol is director of the National Railway Museum in York.
Although born in Scotland, Judith has lived in Yorkshire for two decades and currently resides on a farm outside York overlooking the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds. No two days are the same for Judith, but this year is looking especially busy with the centenary of Flying Scotsman and the opening of Wonderlab: The Bramall Gallery, a new interactive gallery, in the summer. She’ll be enjoying whatever downtime she gets with her husband, Colin, and Bonita, their Spanish Water Dog. ‘I love that York is a small city that offers so much and the scenery around Yorkshire is just phenomenal.
