Jueza rechaza solicitud de Alec Baldwin para desestimar cargo por homicidio involuntario

SANTA FE, Nuevo México, EE.UU. — Una jueza de Nuevo México rechazó el viernes una solicitud de Alec Baldwin para desestimar el único cargo penal en su contra por un tiroteo fatal en el set de la película “Rust”, manteniendo el caso en camino a un juicio este verano. La jueza Mary Marlowe Sommer confirmó una acusación formal que imputa a Baldwin por un cargo de homicidio involuntario por la muerte de la directora de fotografía Halyna Hutchins en 2021.

Reconoció que algunas preguntas de los miembros del jurado fueron diferidas a un testigo experto contratado por la fiscalía, pero dijo que eso no impidió que el jurado tomara una determinación independiente al acusar a Baldwin.
