Northampton Saints name Julia Chapman as their new chief executive, and she will take over from Mark Darbon in November.
She has been promoted from chief operating officer to replace Mark Darbon, who is leaving the club to become CEO of golf's R&A, based at St Andrew's in Scotland.
"I’ve expanded my role over the last few years, so this feels like a natural progression for me," she told the club website."We’ve seen a period of success, on and off the pitch, over the last few years but there are still so many opportunities for us to develop and a lot to play for as a business." Chapman will take up the new role at the end of November when Darbon departs for his new job with the R&A, who organise the Open Championship each year.
