A crop top and a maxi skirt worn together hardly sound like anything out of the ordinary. But that’s likely because you haven’t yet seen how Julia Fox wears the staples.This past weekend, the Uncut Gems star was spotted walking through New York City in an unconventional take on this summer’s easiest outfit formula. Rather than wear just any old maxi skirt, Fox opted for a ruched patchwork piece that appeared to be made entirely out of different pairs of men’s boxers.
To complete the look, Fox added a gray nylon zip-up jacket, a long black leather bag, and blue and red pumps.Fox is no stranger to repurposing mundane materials into new garments. For instance, she dominated headlines last year when she showed up at Fashion Month dressed in a bandeau-and-miniskirt set, both pieces fabricated from belts of various sizes.
