Leicestershire Police say the man who was walking close by may have witnessed the incident.
Detectives investigating the murder of a 50-year-old man have urged a potential witness to come forward.
Four teenagers - aged between 18 and 16 - have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody. "We would really like to hear from a man who was walking very near to where the incident occurred on Wednesday evening," he said.
