Mohamed Salah maintained his remarkable run of goal contributions with a match-winning double as Liverpool beat Everton
Jurgen Klopp has explained his thinking behind moving Luis Diaz to left-back during Liverpool’s win over Everton.
First, Ashley Young was dismissed before the half-time break after receiving a second booking for a foul on Diaz. There was then controversy during the second-half when referee Craig Pawson failed to send off Ibrahima Konate after he brought down Beto while already on a yellow card. Kostas Tsimikas was given the nod to start at left-back in place of the injured Andy Robertson, but midway through the second-half, and with the game still goalless, the Greece international made way for Darwin Nunez, with Diaz moving to a left wing-back role.
