A jury has been dismissed after hearing months of evidence in the trial of Cecil Kennedy, who prosecutors alleged had given Jordan Thompson a dose of Endep because he wanted to keep him quiet.
A judge has dismissed a jury unable to reach a verdict in the trial of a Hunter Valley man accused of giving a toddler a lethal dose of an anti-depressant drug.At the time he was in the care of his mother's then boyfriend, Cecil Patrick Kennedy, 51.Kennedy stood trial for more than two months in Sydney's Downing Centre District Court after pleading not guilty to a charge of manslaughter.
On its fourth day of deliberations, the jury on Monday told Judge William Fitzsimmons it was unable to reach a verdict.Jordan Thomson was found dead at a house in the NSW Hunter Valley in 2005.
