A jury has been selected to hear the trial of President Joe Biden's son Hunter Biden, who is facing federal firearms charges for allegedly buying a gun while addicted to drugs.

More than 65 potential jurors were questioned and at least 29 were dismissed. The candidates, whose names were not made public, answered questions from Judge Maryellen Noreika about their knowledge of the case so far, their views on gun ownership and their ability to remain impartial. The president's son arrived at the courthouse Monday morning, followed by his stepmother, first lady Jill Biden.

"As the President, I don’t and won’t comment on pending federal cases, but as a Dad, I have boundless love for my son, confidence in him, and respect for his strength. Our family has been through a lot together, and Jill and I are going to continue to be there for Hunter and our family with our love and support," he continued.
