Averaging 11.6 million viewers, the episode was a huge talking point on Christmas night. Not just for all of its excellence though, but for some controversies too. Namely, the choice to include Brynn singing the homophobic slur ‘f*ggot’ when he and Nessa performed Fairytale of New York.
